Light
Coffee plant prefers bright, indirect light with East or West facing window. Direct light can scorch the leaves or too little light can cause them to become leggy and spindly. Avoid full sun as the leaves will get scorched and turn brown and keep away from draughts.
Water
Coffee plants don’t like to stay wet, so water every 1 to 2 weeks, allowing the potting mix to dry out halfway between waterings. This plant requires consistent moisture but not water logging. Coffee contains nutrients like nitrogen, magnesium, and potassium, and its acidity can improve soil conditions for certain plant types. Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry, ensuring the plant has adequate drainage.
