Croton plant needs bright indirect light, not recommended direct light. If your plant getting too much light then the leaves will start to burn, place it in a less Sunny spot. There is a high chance when your plant has older leaves.

Nutrient deficiency
Nutrient deficiency in soil can cause to turn yellow. This plant does not need much fertiliser just feed your plant balance fertiliser during the growing season.Container size and drainage are important for growing Croton plant. If the plant grows in a small space, the roots overlap with each other, so the plant does not get proper nutrients, resulting in yellowing of the leaves.
Too little water
Another problem is underwatering, it can causes of yellow leaves . This plant needs water when the soil is dry. But soil is very dry then underwatering is likely the problem.
