Also my most lovable tree is Bonsai. But I can’t exclude Ficus Bonsai tree, because there are so many varieties of this bonsai tree. But I only explain in this article my favourite especially other most preferable Top 12, Ficus Bonsai Trees.

Ficus retusa is one types of Ficus Bonsai tree, it’s type of evergreen plant in the fig genus. It comes from the Malay Archipelago and Malesia floristic region.

This plant is an indoor Bonsai plant with beautiful thick aerial roots. when the soil is partially dry you need watering. It can tolerate low humidity and is a great choice for beginners because it is very resilient.

Origin: Ficus microcarpa is native in a range from China through tropical Asia and the Caroline Islands to Australia.

This ficus bonsai types is known for its glossy leaves and aerial roots, which give it a distinctive appearance. Ficus microcarpa is an easy to care for plant that prefers bright, indirect light and moist soil.

It prefers for the soil to dry out between waterings and should be watered regularly. This plant leaves are thick and leathery, alternately arranged.

Ficus aurea is commonly known as the Florida strangler fig, golden fig. This plant is the family Moraceae that is native to the U.S. state of Florida, the northern and western Caribbean, southern Mexico and Central America south to Panama.

This plant is provides habitat, food and shelter for a host of tropical lifeforms including epiphytes. It used in traditional medicine, for live fencing, as an ornamental and as a bonsai.

8. Taiwanese Ficus Bonsai

Taiwanese Ficus is also known as Banyan fig. It has small light green leaves with grey to reddish bark dotted small horizontal flecks.

This plant is most tolerant, versatile and trouble free bonsai. It prefers warm humid environment and it’s a pleasant choice for home or office.

They are fast growing when it comes to new lovers and beginners to bonsai. Taiwan Ficus Bonsai can be kept both indoors and outdoors and is also one of the most hardy species.

9. Ficus Exotica Bonsai

Ficus Exotica are covered in loads of pointed, rich green leaves, which have a subtle lustre. It’s prefers good potting soil and bright, indirect light.

You water your plant  every 5 to 7 days, or when the top inch of soil is dry. This plant is evergreen with slender, arching stems and thin, leathery and glossy dark green leaves to 8cm long, each tapering to a twisted point.

This Ficus Bonsai plant is planted in small pots with water and nutrient reserves. You need to water and fertilise your plant regularly.

by all means The soil should go from wet to damp between watering. Using a relatively high Nitrogen content fertilizer like NPK 10:6:6. in spring, a more balanced fertilizer like NPK 6:6:6 is more optimal for summer time.

The junction of the trunks at the base must be sharply “V”-shaped and not “U”-shaped. One of the trunks dominates because of its length or thickness. 

One of the best ways to grow a thick trunk is to split the trunk into two or more parts during the start of its growing stage.
